Football Nation: The Petrofac Cup Final 2015

As you may or may not know, we kit supply the SPFL side Livingston with all of their match kits, training gear and much more. Livingston recently got in to the Petrofac Training Cup final & we thought it'd be a great chance to go along and represent the club's commercial side to all of the fans flocking there.

Setting up - cue a lot of heavy lifting.

As luck would have it, the weather that day turned out to be absolutely fantastic for football. It went beyond a sunny springtime day & approached being a summery scorcher.

We took along plenty of Livingston cup final merchandise like vuvuzelas, hats, afro wigs & of course replica gear. We like to think it looked pretty good once we had it all set up.

The stall proved to be immensely popular, with 100s of Livi Lions flocking to us for their last-minute cup final goodies. We even had a few Alloa fans coming over to pick up a commemorative Petrofac pin badge and vuvuzela.

Grown ups, kids and big kids all were keen to get their hands on the Livingston gear before kick-off.

So after a thoroughly enjoyable day it was time for the match. After working in the baking sun for nearly 4 hours we couldn't wait to get inside McDiarmid Park to grab a seat & a pie and watch the game.

We were delighted to see Livingston run out 4-0 winners (sorry Alloa fans) in an incredibly exciting game. Although the scoreline suggests a comfortable victory, Alloa hit the woodwork no fewer than 3 times, including one incredible goalmouth scramble when a goal seemed almost inevitable - but somehow the ball stayed out.

 All in all it was a brilliant day out for everyone. It goes to show that your club can be brilliantly represented on the big occasions when you work closely with us at Football Nation. Here's hoping we've more finals to look forward to and that Livingston can avoid the drop this season.
