Launching the Albion Rovers home shirt...

Posted by Christopher Smith on

Earlier this week Football Nation ventured out west in order to launch the stunning new Albion Rovers home shirt at their Cliftonhill stadium. We had recently agreed a deal to supply the Wee Rovers with a bold, modern adidas kit.

But what was doubly exciting, was that Albion Rovers were also unveiling their new assistant manager - none other than former Scotland U21 boss Billy Stark.

That's him there on the left... no not the guy with the camera.

Then, to add the cherry on top - there was a new signing announced as well...

The player signing for the club was Scott McBride, a talented Kirkcaldy-born midfielder who can list Dunfermline, Raith Rovers & East Fife among his former clubs.

The local press were out in force, snapping hundreds of photos of Billy Stark, alongside Scott in the brand new home shirt.

We have to admit, we're delighted with how the home kit turned out, especially after the club's adidas away kit had proven so popular.

The home kit has already been well-received by the Albion Rovers' faithful, with a large number pre-ordered ahead of the release on 27th June.

About the shirt

The Albion Rovers home shirt for 2015-16 is yellow, with diagonal blended stripes across the chest. The collar, cuffs and adidas stripes are all in white - which is a nod to the classic kits worn by the Wee Rovers during the 1960s.

The club badge and adidas logo are both embroidered onto the shirt - resulting in a premium quality look and feel.

For those of you asking "where's the red?" The SPFL numbers on the back of the shirts will be providing that. In addition to that, the red shorts & socks really bring the whole kit together superbly.
