Ordering & Delivery

General Ordering Information

Making a purchase with Football Nation is very straightforward - you can navigate through the site by using the links on the left hand side of page, or by using the search box at the top of the page.

Once you have found the products you require, simply click on the 'Add to Cart' button located below the product.

This will add your product to the cart & return you to the page you were viewing - you can check your cart at any time by clicking on 'View Cart' at the top right of the page.

Before you order please ensure that:

  • You have ordered the correct size for the product (if applicable). Email us if you need help or call us on 0131 228 8614
  • You are aware of the expected delivery dates for the product - refer to availability against each product

 Once you are ready to place your order click on 'Checkout'


PLEASE NOTE:
While we try to ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur.

If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible & give you the option of cancelling or changing your order.

If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled - goods will be charged when you place your order so you will never pay more than you expect.

Items that have been personalised with name and number printing may only be returned in the case of a manufacturing defect.

If you are a new customer then you will be taken through the order form in which you will be prompted to enter information such as your delivery address, name & your payment details.

After this is completed you will be shown an order confirmation page & receive a confirmation e-mail from us.

Please note that that when you click 'Proceed to Checkout' you will be taken to the secure area of the Football Nation website.

This means that all the personal information you enter will be encrypted so that it cannot be read by any 3rd parties - to find out more about our security procedures please click on the button on the top of the page.

Email Notifications Regarding Your Order

  • Awaiting Fulfillment - Your order has not been accepted at this stage, we will check stock and contact you with any issues. Once accepted, the status will change to ‘Order in Progress’
  • Order in Progress - Your order is currently being picked, ordered in from our supplier or being prepared for personalisation in-house
  • Order now ready for collection - Your order is is ready to collect.
  • Shipped - Your order has now been processed for shipment with our courier & is on its way to you

Delivery & Postage

When can you expect your order?
Most of our products will be picked & shipped on the same day with Royal Mail or DHL. However, there are cases when this is not possible. This may be for the following reasons:

  • Stock Availability – if a product is not in stock at the time of ordering, it will need to be re-ordered from our supplier. Please expect a phone call or email from one of our team to highlight the availability date. This can apply to teamwear products and occasionally replica products.
  • Personalisation – when we need to produce artwork for prints on items or if your item needs embroidered then we need a little longer. However, these services are carried out in-house so it is all within our control
  • Weekend Orders – at present, we don’t ship during weekends. Orders placed during the weekend will ship the following Monday
  • Club Shop Orders/Teamwear Brands – Caveats on these product pages will inform you of the expected delivery time, although we will always endeavour to beat this 

Excess Weight Orders
Orders we are unable to send with Royal Mail will be shipped with DHL on a next day service. As a guide, this starts at £10.75 and is subject to your location and any applicable congestion charges. We will clarify this with you prior to accepting the order.

Collect In-Store

Why not collect your order from one of our stores, just select "Collect In-Store" at the checkout.

U.K all areas (Royal Mail Tracked 48hr Service)

This applies to all other UK mainland postcodes. Occasionally, delivery times to non-mainland addresses including Northern Ireland may take longer than the stated time. Items in stock are shipped immediately, except when an order is placed at the weekend in which case it will be shipped on the first following Monday.

Football Nation will always endeavour to get your purchases to you quickly but are entirely dependent on local conditions - delivery is £4.95 for all UK orders. Items can be sent on a 24hr service, if in stock, this costs £5.95. The website currently doesn't offer this option therefore please call us to arrange this on 0131 228 8614 or email shop@thefootballnation.co.uk.

International Deliveries

Prices charged at checkout are based on an average weight of 500g. Anything above this weight will inherit an additional charge however we will contact you with this information prior to shipping.  At present our charges are as follows:

USA - £15.00

Rest of the World - £15

Europe - £10.00

All overseas deliveries are limited to 2KG in weight with our courier, Royal Mail.  If your order exceeds this weight, we will contact you with our charge and to take payment.  As courier rates fluctuate for international deliveries then we will check prices again on the despatch date as this will be the final charge.  We will always consider the most competitive price for you.

If goods are being shipped out-with the EU then VAT will be removed. Once the shipment reaches its destination then any customs or import duties imposed by the government of said destination, will be settled by the recipient. If you are concerned over this then we recommend that you speak to your local customs office for more information.
